In a fierce early-riser phone chat by NBC’s Kristen Welker, former United States President Donald Trump toasted his aggravation as Russian President Vladimir Putin and sent a stern message to Iran.
Trump, famous for his outspoken language, said he was “angry” at Putin for questioning the leadership of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Putin’s recommendation to Ukraine to consider taking on fresh leadership as part of a peace deal was rejected as unnecessary by Trump.
“If Russia and I don’t get a deal to end the bloodshed & I think they’re breaking the deal, I’ll call off the sanctions on Russian oil, and, while I’m at it, I’ll throw in some new sanctions that will be imposed,” Trump threatened. This colour, he suggested may put pressure on Moscow, and they may too affect the major consumers like China and India.
On Iran, he moved further to the right. If we don’t make a deal, there will be bombing, he stressed, referring to snagged nuclear talks. The 2015 nuclear deal, dumped during Trump’s first term, is still a point of divergence between the U.S. and Iran.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in turn reaffirmed Tehran’s stance against a direct negotiation but left room for the initiation of indirect dialogues through Oman.
With tensions in the geopolitical sphere rising, Trump’s newest comments hint at upswing in world diplomacy strategies, causes the leaders of the world to get on ready for further.
