President Donald Trump debuted his executive order to bring back plastic straws nationwide through federal reversal programs because he found paper straws to be insufficient. Trump declared during his Monday address that his administration would return to using plastic straws after criticizing the Biden plan to remove single-use plastics by 2027.
Trump ignored environmental worries because according to him “plastic does not impact sharks when they swallow ocean content.” Trump declared his decision to kill off Biden’s plan which aimed at ending federal plastic purchasing by 2035. on social media.
The worldwide plastic pollution crisis became the target of opposition from environmental organizations because of this decision. The Plastics Industry Association issued praise for Trump through its declaration that his action represented a move towards unified support.
