On 7 October 2023, Hamas returned the bodies of four Israeli hostages — the youngest of which had been taken by the militant group during their terrorist attack on September 19 Kfir and Ariel Bibas was Nakhamoni]. The exchange was said to have been made during a ceasefire agreement area in Gaza’s Khan Younis, where Hamas militants paraded the coffins on stage under propaganda banners.
The children of Bibas (nine-month-old Kfir, four-year-old Ariel and mother Shiri Bibas) were among last. The man in question, Oded Lifshitz 84 was also returned with them. Israeli police will examine the bodies for confirmation.

The scene of the handover of those bodies is sad reminder that this conflict, which has witnessed more than 48,000 Palestinian deaths and displacement of millions, is filled with sorrow. So the Egyptian and Qatari brokered ceasefire has so far facilitated the freeing of 19 Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian detainees.
Negotiations are underway for the release of the final stage, and six still hostage alive are to be released on Saturday, at the latest condições para a liberdade. But for many families, like the Bibas’ closure cannot be accessed if one is not certain the remains found are a relative.
