Toronto Pub Shooting Leaves 12 Injured; Suspects Still at Large

Nighttime revelry turned into a fatal game of sudden violence when three masked robbers opened fire on panicked customers at the Piper Arms Pub near Scarborough Town Centre. The senseless assault resulted in 12 people being hurt, sending shockwaves through the community.

Toronto Police Superintendent Paul MacIntyre called the assault a “ brazen and senseless act of violence.” The suspects, one of an assault rifle and two of handguns armed, entered the pub about 10:40 p.m. yesterday and straight away started shooting.

“There was no warning. These guys just walked in and pulled out guns and started loading people, “said MacIntyre in a news conference.
