Tesla has called back some 46,000 of its Cybertrucks because of a faulty exterior panel that might break off while the vehicle is moving in motion, according to a filing Monday to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall concerns Cybertrucks manufactured between November of 2023 through February of 2025 with the worry being a damaged cant rail—and not structural—being a cosmetic trim panel. Tesla is replacing the displays for free through its service centers on affected vehicles.

Despite these problems, Tesla is planning to introduce new battery technology in 2025 to reduce production costs, the Information reported.
The recall is happening under increasing scrutiny of Tesla with CEO Elon Musk serving as a top advisor to President Donald Trump even though his heading the administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, a decision that won public protests and criticism.
