Russia Imports Foreign-Made Weapons and Laser Equipment Despite Sanctions, Investigation Reveals

An investigation by The Insider that Russia obtains foreign-made sniper rifles and ammunition along with advanced laser devices despite imposed international sanctions.

Russian borders with Armenia Georgia and the countries Uzbekistan Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and Armenia serve as channels for European and United States military producers to deliver equipment to Russia according to investigative findings.

Accuracy International, Česká Zbrojovka, Barrett, Desert Tech and Cadex serve as key companies providing products to Russia according to investigative findings. Russian precision technology has acquired advanced optical processors and alignment lasers through equipment purchases from Coherent, Z-Laser, AgsTeh D.O.O. and Status Pro Maschinenmesstechnik GmbH. All firms failed to respond when we asked about their relationship to these business deals.

The knowledge about Russia obtaining restricted goods suggests that existing sanctions possibly need reassessment along with inquiries into how intermediary countries enable restricted materials to reach Russia.
