PM Modi Meets US Intel Chief Tulsi Gabbard Amid Khalistani Terror Concerns

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with United States Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard in Delhi on Monday evening, just after India took up the issue of Khalistani terror outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) with the US government.

The talks came after Gabbard’s talks with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who called on US to act against SFJ, its founder Gurpatwant Pannun. Modi and Trump told during their conversation strengthening intelligence sharing and counter-terrorism co-operation to address the head terrorist threats.

As good gesture PM Modi gifted Gabbard a vase filled with sacred holy Gangajal from Prayagraj, where recently concluded Maha Kumbh was held. This is their second talks session in two months after a February dialogue that was held in Washington, D.C., in the course of Modi’s trip for bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump.

Before meeting Prime Minister, Gabbard also called on National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Both Doval and Singh also stressed India’s concerns about Khalistani extremist groups operating from America.

Gabbard’s visit to India is part of a broader Asia trip that also takes in Japan and Thailand. She will speak at Raisina Dialogue on Tuesday on improving global cooperation and intelligence sharing.

Picking last year the united states’ superior intel official, Gabbard heads 18 intel agencies, including the CIA and NSA, with an annual budget of almost $100 billion.
