Kash Patel was DC’d as the new FBI Director today Friday, telling everyone it is “the greatest honor in the world” to hold his office. Patel (who is considered one of President Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters) administered by the U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on a Bhagavad Gita in a ceremony at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
Thursday’s Senate confirmation, on a party-line 51-49 vote that drew opposition from two Republicans (Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski) saw Trump say of his new commissioner, “The Best Ever” that FBI agents “love this guy.”
Patel carries a beleaguering agency, with Trump supporters singing the praises of Patel as Trump critics worry about the FBI politicizing and retribution-motivated witch hunts. 
Patel warned the nation that he would honor the Constitution “despite never having met a more vile smear-driven media than what is shown on television” and he accepted this inexperience ended there.
