Gautam Adani from the Adani Group donated $1.2 billion equivalent to ₹10,000 crore towards social causes for the wedding of his son Jeet Adani marking a departure from traditional billionaire celebratory events. The wedding took place at Ahmedabad’s Adani Shantigram township where guests enjoyed a basic traditional ceremony representing Adani’s philanthropic character.
Jeet Adani followed the traditional route by marrying Diva Shah at a modest ceremony with his family members and close personal friends. The bride belongs to Jaimin Shah who operates as a diamond trader throughout the year. The Adani family directed their wedding resources toward initiating “Mangal Seva” which provides women with disabilities $12,000 (₹10 lakh) per year to cover their wedding expenses.
The multi-million donation will lead to funding the development of affordable world-class healthcare facilities and educational institutions and professional training centers. The Adani family insider clarified that their philanthropic venture would create job opportunities together with high-quality service access for every social class. 
Through his work at the Adani Foundation Jeet Adani leads efforts that promote diversity and inclusion by employing disabled individuals at Mitti Cafes. Jeet Adani and Diva attended a Mitti Café in Ahmedabad prior to their wedding day to bring staff members as guests and celebrate together.
