India Stands for Peace, Not Neutrality, Says PM Modi on Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stood before Americans during his U.S. visit to confirm India’s dedication to achieving peace in the Russia-Ukraine crisis. During a joint press conference with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House PM Modi declared that India exists beyond neutrality since it supports peaceful resolutions.

I maintain continuous relations with Russia and Ukraine since the beginning of my contact with both countries. The Indian prime minister announced that India remains dedicated to peace because we do not maintain any neutrality in matters of conflict. In front of Russian President Vladimir Putin he stated during his previous meeting “This is not an era of war.”

The Prime Minister explained that resolution of conflicts emerges from dialogue instead of fighting on the battlefield. The resolution of conflicts will not appear through military action according to my firm belief. The only solution for us is to move forward with negotiations he declared. The United States leader’s attempts at conflict mediation received his endorsement alongside his hopeful predictions for an expeditious ending to the fighting.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India preserves ongoing bilateral relations with Ukraine and Russia thus requiring an official venue to settle their diplomatic conflicts. According to India the end of the war depends on having both nations taking part in negotiations. The Prime Minister declared his total endorsement for peace initiatives across the board.

The prime minister’s statement emerged during current worldwide initiatives to reduce tensions between the warring nations where India stands actively for peaceful diplomacy and dialogue. The United States and India engaged in discussions about advancing their bilateral relations when he visited American soil about potential F-35 stealth fighter jet sales to India.

The world observes India advancing its position as one of the essential elements in maintaining international peace and stability.
