A spectacular display celebrating India’s 76th Republic Day showed military power and cultural richness throughout Kartavayapath boulevard on New Delhi’s historic pathway on Sunday. Thousands of people endured cold conditions to celebrate the moment when India adopted its Constitution that happened on January 26, 1950.
The parade received its honor from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto who attended with India’s president and prime minister. The Indonesian National Armed Forces participated in their inaugural formation at the parade as part of growing Indonesia-India relations.

A combination of military bands and soldiers from India’s defense and paramilitary organizations joined heritage-themed parade showcases while a Maha Kumbh festival display grabbed attention for being the planet’s largest organized religious gathering. Thousands of performers hold the audience’s attention through forty traditional dances alongside the vibrant costumes and impressive bike-based stunts.
The redevelopment of Kartavayapath which was previously known as Rajpath gained its new name in 2022 under India’s anniversary observances commemorating 75 years of independence. A thrilling aerial event brought the parade to its end as Rafale jets led an ensemble of transport planes and helicopters.
Traditionally India welcomes international dignitaries during its Republic Day celebrations. French President Emmanuel Macron joined Barack Obama along with other previous attendants as honorees during India’s events. During Indonesia’s inaugural Republic Day celebration in 1950 the country’s first president Sukarno made an appearance.
Nationwide broadcast of the celebrations reached every part of the country while state capitals and major cities joined in as security protocols stayed tight.
