A tragic mass shooting at Young Park in Las Cruces on Friday night (March 21, 2025) has left three people dead and 15 others injured, authorities confirmed on Saturday (March 22, 2025).
Authorities said violence erupted on Friday night (March 21) at an illegal car show that drew roughly 200 people. Las Cruces Police Chief Jeremy Story said the two groups involved were “fighting ill will with one another and it turned into a firearm exchange. Officials recovered a total of between 50 to 60 shell casings, all handgunbrings” indicating a multi shooter may have been present.
The victims are aged between 16 and 36. The victims are two of his best friends (19 year old men) and a 16 year old kid.
