Tesla Facilities Under Siege as Elon Musk’s Political Role Sparks Backlash

Tesla dealerships and charging stations in the US have been vandalized and attacked in recent weeks, as Elon Musk continues into deep government matters. At least ten attacks on tesla property have been reported, reflecting the increasing turbulence surrounding the billionaire’s political power.

In Colorado, 40-year-old woman Lucy Grace Nelson was arrested for an assault on a Tesla dealership in Loveland. Her reported acts included tossing Molotov cocktails, spraying paint on a wall in658/nazi car on the building, and trying to set the building on fire. Police confirmed Nelson’s arrest, but warned that similar attacks might occur as well, saying that there might have been a copycat attack at the same location a few days later.

Meanwhile at least seven shots were fired at unknown attackers in a Tigard, Oregon, Tesla showroom, breaking windows and damaging multiple vehicles. On the East Coast more than six Tesla charging stations near Boston set fire in an intentional manner, raising concerns about targeted violence.

The attacks follow when Tesla sales drop, particularly in Europe and China as Musk’s politically stance incite debate. His appointment as head of Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been seen as cause for concern regarding conflicts of interest and resulted in a major drop in the stock price of Tesla.

However, the vandalism has only been met with dissent from Musk, who wrote, “Vandalizing property is not free speech.” Official investigation remains, and rivalries between Musk’s political and commercial projects are running high.
