Pakistan Security Forces Eliminate Six Terrorists in North Waziristan Operation

In a significant counterterrorism operation, Pakistan military forces killed six terrorists in North Waziristan’s Ghulam Khan Kalay area, the military’s media wing said on Friday.

The information says, as verified by intelligence based operation after confirmation of armed militants in the area, ISPR said. Our troops effectively engaged the khwarij during the operation and killed six terrorist, ISPR said, using the term frequently used by extremists.

Incidentally, the whole operation was also successful in seizing a major stash of weapons and ammunition. The ISPR said the eliminated individuals were associated with several attacks on security forces and various inno-cent civilian killings.

After the successful operation, security personnel executed a sanitision sweep to make sure no more lurking threat of militants in the area. “Today, the Pakistan security has replied that they are undeterred in its complete surrender to take over the forces from the country,”the statement said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hailed the operation reaffirming that the government was committed to eliminating terrorism. “This fight will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari also provided support to military’s efforts, along with calling for national unity against such threats from the extremists. Interior Ministry has praised the forces in social media thanking with confirmation that the nation is with its defenders unity against terror.

The operation reflects on the difficulties Islamabad still faces in its efforts to combat terrorism, particularly as militant attacks zijn rising in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
