The entertainment world is still coming to terms with the devastating news of the serene thought of legendary actors Gene Hackman, and his wife Betsy Arakawa who were found dead at their home in Santa Fe on Wednesday. The surrounding the deaths of the two human beings considered to be suspicious by authorities, resulting in a in depth investigation.
Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office stated that Hackman, 95 and Arakawa, 65 were found in different rooms of their home. Complicating the mystery, one of their three dogs was also found dead. An autopsies revealed no signs of visible trauma, investigators are holding out for toxicology and carbon monoxide tests to find out a cause of death.
A pest control worker, observing that the couple was absent in an unusual manner, notified a security officer, and thus a terrible discovery ensued. A caretaker’s 911 call said the siblings were motionless inside when they were seen through a window and maintenance workers had previously found the front door open.
There are several mysterious things: a space heater on the bathroom floor near Arakawa’s body; an open prescription bottle of pills on the counter; Hackman’s body lying out in the mudroom. Even though there were no indicators of forced entry or theft, officials are not saying it is not being considered.
