The young and energetic political leader, social worker Marziya Shanu Pathan continues to create reverberations in the socio-political quagmire of Maharashtra. She has carved her way into two major national initiatives in education, healthcare and job opportunities for the ones deprived of all of it so young — only 24!
Marziya, as one of Nationalist Congress (SP) member always works for the vitality and empowerment of Women. Recently she started a Skill Development & Employment Initiative for the youth who want to make a living through some hands on skills. This program has already helped many residents of Mumbra, she expressed her love to work at grassroot level.
And she gave a leg up way beyond employment. Marziya is pioneering to make healthcare more accessible at the local level by arguing for an improved medical infrastructure in areas that have not developed yet. ALL citizens get QUALITY Healthcare and Education. “My goal is to close the gap between need and availability,” she shared at a recent Community event. 
Since the tender age of twelve when she spearheaded the protest for Malala Yousafzai and women’s education rights, Marziya is still a social justice fire-sweeper and continues to motivate the next generation pick on their own shoes.
She has shown that Real Leadership comes in service via Marziya Shanu Pathan, who is scouring the land not just riding high on her own political career but changing lives in Mumbra with resolute resolve!
