Russia intensifies its demands regarding war termination by making it clear that all conditions laid out by Russian President Vladimir Putin need full compliance before any peace settlement will be accepted. The stance develops as former U.S. President Donald Trump asserts ongoing negotiations but provides no specific details of the agreement.
During his Air Force One press briefing Trump touched on new contact with Putin as he continued voicing his plans to rapidly finish the war. “I’ve had it. The statement “I’ve had it” emerged from Trump’s mouth although he offered no further details. Officials at the Kremlin chose neither to admit nor reject reports about such communications.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov declared that Moscow will not negotiate the demands which President Putin outlined in June 2024. Ukraine must strip away its interest in NATO membership as well as pull out all military forces stationed in regions Russia claims for itself. The Ukrainian government considers these demands identical to a surrender. 
The conflict that started in 2014 and expanded into 2022 has resulted in numerous hundred thousands of fatalities. The diplomatic stance of Russia stands strong despite Trump’s promises to negotiate a peace deal because Moscow continues to reject promises or threats from any side. Ukraine together with its Western allies maintains resistance to recover all its previously lost ground.
The diplomatic stalemate presents an arduous path to peace which continues to trap millions of people across the affected area.
