A meddling monkey created widespread power outages across Sri Lanka during Sunday when it disrupted the power grid and resulted in six hours of persistent blackouts. A power system failure occurred because the animal touched a grid station in a Colombo suburb.
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) verified the power shutdown while also declaring planned 90-minute electricity disruptions for two days because of Norochcholai coal power plant’s subsequent maintenance.
