Iranian diplomat Abbas Araghchi dismissed President Donald Trump’s plan for Palestinian relocation by proposing that Israeli people move to Greenland.

Israeli territory should be purged of their residents and deported to Greenland as a dual solution according to Iranian official Araghchi in his Sky News interview posted on Telegram.

On Monday Trump suggested Palestinian relocation from Gaza through transfer to Jordan or Egypt while the action met broad resistance from Palestinian political leadership and Iranian representatives.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei of Iran expressed strong opposition to the idea by saying Palestinians keep their rightful home in Gaza.

Hamas militants launched their attack on October 7 of 2023 in what triggered the start of the Gaza War which caused 1,210 deaths among Israelis. The Israeli military initiated a counterattack leading to a Gaza death toll estimated at 47,000 by health officials who work for Hamas.
